Advice - indoor solar lights

I've recently got a lovely Wendy house for my girls.
I've looked at giving them some little lights inside.
The only solar lights I can find are the kind that turn the light on when there is no power being generated through the solar cells.
If it were using a simple light sensitive resistor I'd simple bypass it with a switch etc.
I don't have enough knowledge to know what to change to have the lights on from battery or Solar.
A simple switch would be used to turn the light on.
This isn't meant to light up anything, just simply provide a little amusement for my 4 and 2 year olds.

I think if it were me I'd use a solar panel (pretty much anything over 6v will do if its small) and charge up some batteries which have a switch on them. so the batteries are always charged and you just flick the switch to turn the lights on. The Pi Case panel is perfect if coupled with 4xaa batteries (its why I use it) I do have an eclosed 4xx pack with a switch on the back. Even easier is a panel and no battery - just an led that will light up when its light outside. I have a smaller 150ma panel that would work nice for that.
