This is a cc/cv Li-ion charger capable of charging at multiple current levels froom 50ma up to 780ma. The built in voltmeter is handy to check how full your cells are, and will also show you the progress during charging.

Can charge at 50ma, 100ma, 200ma 300ma 400ma 500ma 600ma 780ma

Dear Sir
I am from Switzerland and at the moment I am in the UK until 30.09.2012.
How long is the delivery time for the nona charger?
I suppoes it is good for charging also Panasonic IM CGR 18650CH 2200 mAh LiMn batteries. Please confirm.
I tried to change the shipping address in PayPal, but I can only add a new Swiss address, I cannot add the UK address where I am located now. Would you ship anyway ?
Kind regards
Lubi

Lubi, Shipping to a different address is fine. Yes, that cell will charge nicely - I'd use the top 750ma setting for that if your wall charger can go that high, or you can always charge at 500ma if it doesn't. I can ship out and get it to you this week for a UK address.

Hi David

when loading 18650 batteries, does it make sense to use only 400ma instead of 780ma?
I know it will take longer, but is it better for the battery health ?

Kind regards

Lubi

Lubi: I'd recommend the 700ma setting for 18650.

If your USB port can't take 700ma then 500ma would be fine. The recommended 'rate' of charge is 0.6C unless the manufacturer states otherwise. Most 18650 cells I'm aware of recommend a maximum rate of about 800ma though I've come across a couple that recommend lower (500ma for the Samsung 18650-30 cell for example) Neither is significantly different - so I wouldn't worry too much, but my preference is 700ma.

To add to the knowledge here! higher currents will slowly lower the capacity of a cell, and very low currents risk the cell 'floating' and never fully charging. So a balance is needed. the 0.6C is the sweet spot. HTH. I can give more info if its helpful.

Hi David.
I'm rather new to the wonders of lithium ion batts, although I have used RCR123's for some years in an ultra fire charger without instance....so far it would seem!
I now have discovered the wonders of small Peak Eiger and want to charge 10440 batts also.
Only after reading numerous threads I have discovered that these can be quite volatile, so I need a specific well designed charger with correct mah..
This it seems where you come in David... With many many people praising you and your products..
So... I'd like a Nona charger please... PayPal being done now for delivery to the UK please..
Many thanks and regards..
Steve.
