Dear cottonpickers,

Could you recommend one of your versions of solar panels to power RPi and USB GPRS dongle. I need it to work from March to September, take one photo a day and send it to server. I have started with RPi B+ but now I am thinking about model A+ because of low consumption and obviously I don't need stronger machine. I was thinking to install your timer but I dont think that need it, with some decent batteries system could probably go through night. I would probably buy more of these if you come up with some affordable solution.

Best,
Mladen

Yes, A+ is certainly the most power sipping of the models. However if you are just taking one photo a day then I most definitely suggest the timer is the solution. You could even dispense with the solar panel altogether (or get a small one) 10 mins juice a day will last for weeks on a single set of 4 AA's
